Eureka
…maybe. I just combined (very carefully) my makeup downloads, and I’m about to go play the game to see if it worked. Hopefully it will.

Like the other photos, I captured this one before the last borkification of my game. I did love that silly Alyss & her very non-sneaky sneaking. :3
Edit: It did work! So now I have my makeup & accessories safely working in the game. See, when I did this before, not all of the accessories would display on the sim, even if they were selectable in CAS.
The only hitch in the package combining is that since I’m doing this on a Mac, s3pe is really crashy and sometimes I have to start over a few times to actually get the package done. It takes quite a long time. When I finish, I will probably have gained the patience of…a monk…or someone/something else that has a lot of patience.
Funky fresh
…that’s what my game is right now. I just reinstalled the game. Again. Sigh. I must have done something wrong with combining the package files – the game would load to the main screen, but when I tried to enter a neighborhood, it froze. I followed the directions (for Windoze) as closely as I could on a Mac, but with some things, it deviated and I had to improvise a little.
When I figure it all out, I’ll see about creating some new sims and decorating a neighborhood. I’m thinking of starting an urban neighborhood project from scratch, which would (IMO) be interesting. I also lurked some at Living Sims forum (they do a really well-put-together magazine, too), and now I feel really inspired to do more detailed decorating in my sims’ homes.
Anyhow, here’s a shot of Sunset Valley I captured before I borked my game again.

Bah! The woes of a tech novice…oh, never mind. I’m just really dumb.
So, I am a Mac user (as of…6 months ago, haha), and doing anything to edit .package files, .Sims3Pack files, etc. requires some interesting workarounds to get whatever you want to do…done. And I really, really want to do something that’s hella trendy in the Sims 3 creative community right now: archive my .package files (after converting my .Sims3Pack stuff to .package format, of course). blah blah blah
Ambitions, yes?
Oh, I changed the name of this blogthingamajig. AGAIN. Sorry, I know it’s silly. >< It’s a reference, of course, to calling one’s Sims puddings. Because they look crafted out of – you guessed it – pudding.
